Details
The theory of hydrophobic chromatography media is based on the adsorption of protein on the hydrophobic group at high salt concentration. When the salt concentration is reduced, the proteins are eluted according to the hydrophobicity from weak to strong. Hydrophobic chromatography is one of the most commonly used methods for the separation and purification of biological macromolecules due to its mild operating conditions and high resolution.
KBsphere® series hydrophobic chromatography media are based on monodispers highly cross-linked polyacrylate microspheres with Butyl and Phenyl functional groups. KBsphere Tech. can provide a series of hydrophobic chromatography media with different particle sizes (30μm and 50μum) and pore sizes (500Å and 800Å) according to the different requirements of customers.
Characterization
• Spherical, highly uniform in particle size
• High chemical stability and wide pH range (pH=1-14)
• Optimized pore structure and unique surface modification technology
• High mechanical strength
• Low backpressure, high column efficiency
