Amino Magnetic Beads

    KBsphere® Amino Magnetic Beads are structured with a superparamagnetic Fe₃O₄ core and surface-modified amino functional groups, featuring high magnetic loading and excellent monodispersity. Abundant amino groups enable covalent conjugation with proteins and other biomolecules under designated reagents, supporting rapid target separation and enrichment from samples. They are widely used as key carriers in molecular biology, medical research and related fields.

Product Specifications

· Particle size: 200 nm, 1 μm, 3 μm, 5 μm, 10 μm, 15 μm, 20 μm, 30 μm, 40 μm, 50 μm, 100 μm

· Concentration: 50 mg/mL

· Suspension solution: H₂O (pH ~4.0)

· Amino density: >200 μmol/g

· Compatible buffers: PBS, Tris-HCl, H₂O

· Iron (Fe) content: 30%

Biomolecule Conjugation (Glutaraldehyde Method)

1. Activation

Resuspend beads thoroughly. Take desired volume, wash twice with 20 mM PBS (pH 7.4), remove supernatant by magnetic separation. Add freshly prepared 15% glutaraldehyde, mix well, and react at 25 °C for 1 hour in the dark (keep suspended).

2. Conjugation

Wash activated beads twice with 20 mM PBS (pH 7.4), discard supernatant. Add target biomolecules and disperse in pH 8.0 buffer (0.05% Tween 20 optional for dispersion). React at 25 °C for 3 hours or at 4 °C overnight in the dark (keep uniform suspension).

3. Blocking

Separate conjugated beads magnetically, discard supernatant. Resuspend in 20 mM PBS (pH 7.4) with 5% BSA, block at 25 °C for 1 hour in the dark. Wash and store in 20 mM PBS (pH 7.4) at 4 °C. 0.02% sodium azide can be added for antimicrobial preservation.
