| KBsphere® NHS Magnetic Beads are functionalized with N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) groups. These groups readily conjugate with proteins or small molecules containing primary amines to form stable peptide bonds, making them ideal for affinity purification of antibodies, antigens, and other biomolecules. Compared with conventional carboxyl and amino magnetic beads, NHS magnetic beads offer simpler operation and milder conjugation conditions.
Product Features 1.Fast magnetic response and excellent monodispersity 2.Low batch-to-batch variation and high reproducibility 3.Good biocompatibility and low cytotoxicity 4.Easy conjugation with diverse biomolecules; simple operation Product Parameters 1.Particle size: 200 nm, 1 μm, 3 μm, 5 μm, 10 μm, 20 μm, 30 μm, 40 μm, 50 μm, 100 μm 2.Concentration: 50 mg/mL 3.Storage solution: Isopropanol 4.Ligand: NHS 5.Ligand density: ≥ 20–30 μmol/g 6.Storage temperature: 4 ℃ 7.Iron (Fe) content: 30% Protocol Wash an appropriate amount of magnetic beads several times with pH 8.0 buffer. Disperse the target biomolecule in pH 8.0 buffer, then resuspend the beads in this solution. Conjugate at 25 ℃ for 3 hours or at 4 ℃ overnight. After conjugation, separate the beads magnetically and discard the supernatant. Resuspend the beads in buffer containing 1% BSA, then incubate at 25 ℃ for 1 hour to block unreacted NHS groups. After blocking, separate the beads magnetically and discard the supernatant. Wash the beads three times with 20 mM PBS buffer (pH 7.4), resuspend, and store at 4 ℃ until use. If needed, add 0.02% sodium azide to inhibit bacterial growth. |
