| KBsphere® Epoxy Magnetic Beads are surface-functionalized with epoxy groups, which can conjugate with proteins or small molecules containing primary amines. They are widely used for affinity purification of antibodies, antigens, and other biomolecules. Compared with conventional carboxyl and amino magnetic beads, epoxy magnetic beads feature simpler operation and milder conjugation conditions.
Product Features 1.Fast and simple one-step conjugation 2.Low batch-to-batch variation, high reproducibility 3.Moderate epoxy group density and uniform surface morphology for high conjugation efficiency Product Parameters 1.Particle size: 200 nm, 1 μm, 3 μm, 5 μm, 10 μm, 20 μm, 30 μm, 40 μm, 50 μm, 100 μm 2.Concentration: 50 mg/mL 3.Storage solution: Isopropanol 4.Ligand: Epoxy 5.Ligand density: ≥ 250 μmol/g Protocol 1.Wash an appropriate amount of epoxy magnetic beads several times with pH 8.0 buffer. 2.Disperse the desired biomolecule in pH 8.0 buffer, then resuspend the beads in this solution. Conjugate at 25 °C for 6 hours or at 4 °C overnight. 3.After conjugation, separate the beads magnetically and discard the supernatant. Resuspend the beads in buffer containing 20 mM ethanolamine, then incubate at 25 °C for 3 hours to block unreacted epoxy groups. 4.After blocking, separate the beads magnetically and discard the supernatant. Wash the beads three times with 20 mM PBS buffer (pH 7.4), resuspend, and store at 4 °C until use. If needed, add 0.02% sodium azide to inhibit bacterial growth. |
